Umm... go to your router's website. For example, if your ip was 135.20.6.100 then go to the Internet, type in that IP address in the URL address box. Then you will be taken to the website. There you can foward the ports, and maybe shut down your firewall.

That was why I said in it to go to your routers support site and they'll tell you anything you need to know.. Just have to look for it

DNS = Domain Name System (or Service or Server), an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Because domain names are alphabetic, they're easier to remember. The Internet however, is really based on IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name, therefore, a DNS service must translate the name into the corresponding IP address. For example, the domain name www.example.com might translate to 198.105.232.4. |
WINS = Windows Internet Naming Service, a system that determines the IP address associated with a particular network computer. This is called name resolution. WINS supports network client and server computers running Windows and can provide name resolution for other computers with special arrangements. Determining the IP address for a computer is a complex process when DHCP servers assign IP addresses dynamically. For example, it is possible for DHCP to assign a different IP address to a client each time the machine logs on to the network. |
Basicaly DNS is a server that is used for websites so that when you type a webaddy the DNS service will forward your site request to the ip associated with the web address you used.
WINS (in dealing with a router) is what gives your computer a ip address that the router uses to know what computers are connected. Basicaly if you had 5 computers connected to it then when you forwarded the port for a certain comp you would have to input whatever ip the router gave you.
Then again I could be wrong... I'm not a network administrator.
