should be able to use .png (or .gif or .jpg) in the zone folder - since EG does not have any custom ship images specified by .lvz (in public arena anyways)

So if I have for example no wbroll.bm2 in zone folder, and I put the wbroll.png in it, client will use my wbroll.png ?? Only thing I have to keep is the filename, but not the extension? .png, .gif, .jpg - all will be accepted by my client?
If so, it's cool.  |

ya I'm pretty sure
with each new version new bugs are added, but I think I retested that the other day
where it gets sticky these days is if the zone (the one whose folder you're using) has ship images in the .lvz...and even moreso if their .lvz doesn't specify rolling images but you want to use them
