 |

I'm trying to update my zone and this .lvz is screwing up... The .ini code and the images are all fine as far as I know and I used both Bak/2Dragons' compiler and the LVZToolKit with no change... It kinda hard to explain but the .lvz is using the images from all my other .lvzs and placing them on the map with the coords from yet another .lvz...
I know it the InnerHouse.lvz because when I remove it, everything is going back to normal. If you want to see what is happening... go to SSZ Zelda MotW then ?go #updates. Thanks in advance. _________________ 2000+

ya um, your zone won't let me enter, so either fix that or attach all the .lvz's used in the arena here

We've been having that problem too.... I think its because of all the map objects, some computers can't handle it.

Here is the two that I think are most directly involved... Theres nothing wrong with either code...
The random images tile these coords...
Castle.lvz - 17.04 KB
LVZ Dump: INI
File downloaded or viewed 11 time(s)
When removed, everything else works...
Inner house.lvz - 29.1 KB
LVZ Dump: INI
File downloaded or viewed 14 time(s)

if you're using IE, don't
you can also try emailing to akai@sscentral.com
or you can just attach all the files here in separate posts

btw if you like I can give you a subdomain like zelda.sscentral.com for your zone's site
comes with the usual goodies (PHP, etc) and you can have a MySQL DB for a forum also

I'm already using filezilla, and that subdomain sounds great. Contact me on one of the things below and we can talk about it.

chances are you have conflicting filenames... make sure that you don't have any images sharing the same filename.
-
Try removing all the lvz except for one and add them one by one till something screws up... figure out what's messing up and try to find the exact two lvz that are conflicting... then debuild and check for unique image file names.

Can you also remove the space from "Inner house.lvz"?

I've done all that, I even renamed all the images in the effected .lvzs to solve Bak's idea. Still, its the same...

last night when I was converting all the png's to bmp's, some of the inner house images would not resave...like voodoo corruption or something
I haven't gotten back to it since so it could've been Photoshop corruption...let's hope so

are you sure you have the affected lvz's? try removing all the lvz except two and see if there's still a conflict

I did, I also tried to remove ONLY the inner house.lvz and it all works fine then. In fact, thats how the zone is now.

Maybe the problem is because you have a ridiculous amount of images and map objects.

Yeah, try and put 50 images in one lvz and another 50 in another and so on.
...Since you have like 300 something files in 1 lvz file.

The problem is the limited tiles that Subspace offers. 2000 and I have talked about this quite a bit, he's tiling the castle but there's not too much else he can do. _________________ This help is informational only. Ya I know I'm just saying one-hundred 16x16 pixel images are going to cause more screen lag than fifty 32x32 pixel images (or twenty-five 64x64 pixel images [or twelve-and-one-half 128x128 pixel images (or six-and-one-quarter 256x256 pixel images [or three-and-one-eighth 512x512 pixel images])]).
I'll make it all sparkly raw eventually, just keep getting sidetracked.

No, it's good not to have an insanely large amount of LVZs.
