ummm i import a tileset (.bmp) into SSME but it shows up crooked
the tiles are SHOWN 2 pixels to the right of where they should be so it looks like it's overlapping the other tiles |

It is possible that the source you try to import is flawed.
If I am not mistaken (either it was just a suggestion or it was implemented) continuum supports more than the # ammount of original tiles in the VIE client, so SSME might experience malefunctions with imported tilesets made for continuum with these extra few tiles. |

As far as I know (and being a sysop, I would have noticed) continuum supports no additional tiles.
Your original tileset is probably malformed. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

the tiles will looked crooked because if u had some in 1 place in the tileset and u put a different 1 there.. but if u keep it 256 they should not jump slots to the right/left/etc _________________ User Status = Offline! ..

We covered this in another thread. The tileset doesnt need to just be 8-bit. It needs to have all 256 colors in the palette. SSME does not load images using the BMP file format. It assumes things are at very specific offsets. I have no idea why ljc would have designed it this way. _________________ 4,691 irradiated haggis! |

there is a way to fix this off align thing in SSME for the tileset
first use SSME tileset maker
open up the tileset
then save as a different name.lvl
the tileset is now correctly displayed |
