I've followed all the directions exactly from www.shanky.com/server ... I've read the router sticky and have fixed my router just like it said ... but it WON'T WORK!! =(
My firewalls are off, I can connect to the Billing Server, but my zone is ALWAYS red in the Zone List..
What other possibilities are there?! |

run both subbill and subgame
Remove your zone from the list
re-add your zone.
try that... |

Can you connect to the zone even if it's red? If you can then it's just the ping which is cut off and not the game packets. If you can't then you are fully cut off, don't know what it may be or not be... *sry*

You know that you shouldn't do it while connected to the internet but only while connected to your LAN, with none of the PCs in your LAN connected to a dialup or highspeed connection. |

If he has a router, he doesn't need to worry about firewalls. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.

| In your server.ini file, change your [Misc] Port= to a different number, something like 5500 or any big number between 1000 and 20000. |

| One thing I did was connected the server to the dsl or cable modem and then made sure it ran with that.. that will help you figure out if its a router setup issue or if its a cfg issue. If it works then check your router settings. If they appear to be correct and it dont work go to netgears website and search the support section for you router model number and look for how to forward ports and make sure theres no extra steps in there. |

Well, I can actually test my zone now! =)
Still having trouble with the router... I'll try searching NetGear's website.
Thanks for the help everyone =) |
