?sendplayer arenaname
hmm a wonderful little device/command from a staff member that sends a player to a specified arena for any cause.
along with it you could use ?LockPlayer Arenaname or just ?LockPlayer
so he cant move from that arena.
Then you could have Bots in the zone for whenever he comes online
he would be sent right back to the arena then the bots would lock him. |

It was a lot cooler before grel fixed it and you could send people to arenas that they couldn't get to otherwise _________________

Of course, you neglect to mention *sendto is broken. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.

Though isnt there a theory out there that sendto might actually be used to slip a user onto another server? Or, is there a pretty much for-sure thought of it being for making a user goto another arena... |

Priit added sendto support to cont but not to subgame. It's pretty much for-sure. |

That doesn't make very much sense, Brain. If it wasn't added to subgame, wouldn't it just ignore it and not crash like it does?
In that thread, 50% didn't post enough of the ASM to make any sense out of it, but with the esp stuff, it sounds like it was probably calling a func looking for a handler and failed. |

If the command is used to send a player to another server as cypher suggests, then that implies a bot to pm the command to a player in order to manage server load. Thats sounds a bit stupid to me as you would need a bot to visit each arena regularly checking population. Although the advantage of a bot is it can be made to see the population on both servers. subgame would need some new server to server packets to tell each other about the current load.
As the command was found in the server software and not the client, I don't think priitk added sendto to cont as such. What it looks like to me is cont uses a slightly modified protocol to enter/leave arenas which saves a very tiny amount of bandwidth. At the same time it can be exploited to force people to another arena at any time. |

While we're theorizing, this could come into play if that trench running multiple modified subgames rumor was true and *sendto is just the command form of the "jumping" system |

The *sendto command is found in fix.dll, just hex-edit it (search for 2A73656E64746F). Then open your server and try the command (*sendto 1), it will crash and then youll be able to debug it if you have windows catching any errors. _________________ Current Terror Alert Level

FWIW, my theory is this: Priit added support to both subgame and cont for the server to automatically move players between servers (this part isn't controversial; I've demonstrated it). In order to test it and debug it, he added a *sendto command that manually initiated a move. Perhaps somewhere along the line, he broke the *sendto command, but didn't notice it, or didn't bother to fix it, because he didn't need it anymore. Or perhaps it does no argument validation (it's just for debugging after all), and so crashes on incorrect arguments, and we haven't figured out the correct syntax. I'm guessing it's something like "/*sendto 127.0.0.1 5000".
Also uncontroversial is this: cont does support a tweak to the arena-entering protocol that allows the server to move the client among arenas. The asss /?send command implements this, but as far as I know, there's no way to do it with subgame. |

Yeah grel that's what I was guessing as well, it couldn't find a server at the specified ip of "1" so it crashed |

*repeatlast #:<name>
I think this would be cool because it repeats the last specified number of lines that someone said. I'm not sure if ?log works like this but if it does, this would be cool for staff to use. It could keep better track of behavior. |
