Does this have to do with all of the staff members leaving because the higher staff members have been unproductive and doing jack shit? |

Even though I doubt any bot coders here are interested, I'm the TWDev Leader in charge of bot creation, so, if you're interested in that email me some of your work to olosnecaj@gmail.com |

It's TWCore only, having a hubbot is nice... from what I understand MERVBot is only a single bot correct? |

If you're referring to having multiple spawns per core, MERV can do that. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. yeah up to 768 if you're running the bots off the server... or 3 if you're running them remotely. |

The 3 is just a bandwidth limit. If the bots are on a LAN from the server (like in SSI), then you could probably increase it a bit higher. (But not as high as 768, I'd say. ) |

It's pretty much the central place for TWCore development (obviously)
I like how its set up, making different types of bots to use. One MERV spawn is equivalent to a TWBot for anyone that isn't familiar _________________

From what the bot dudes tell me, MERV owns TWCore - but, then, most do not favor Java. |

Merv has more functionality than TWCore, but TWCore uses less resources, has integrated MySQL, and can run on any computer with a JVM without having to rebuild. I think it has the potential to be better than MERV, but not any time soon. |

TWCore is in Java so it is infinitely better. |

And for what reason do you think you prefer Java? |

I don't know what functionality TWCore lacks that merv has. And what it lacks is minimal and can be added if you want it. |

I've never used TWCore, but MERV could be a lot better. |

You know what would be sweet? I don't know if any of you have ever made any maps for games like Starcraft but they make it noob friendly, in which you say.
Players it Affects
All Players
Requirements
Player 1 moves to location Blindissexy
Action
Give Player 1 2000 Ore
*Note* Things that are underlined can be customized simply by clicking on them then either choosing what you want or in the case of numbers typing it in
Well of course it would be modified for Continuum but this would be a way so that the average player can make bots that can be customized to fit their zone.
While AI bots and things like that would still have to be programmed with C++ it would make easy bots available to the masses. And just think of how little people there would be asking C++ coders to make them Merv plugins.[/u] |

I only read the last part ("While AI bots" ... "them Merv plugins.") of your post and wanted to say it doesn't make sense, but your whole post doesn't at all. |

Well of course a completely customizeable plugin system would be great, but who's gonna do it?! |

Nobody is, that'd be way too much work for a bot. |

If you're serious about bot programming, you don't need to have a language like that, munky |

Yeah I knew that noone was going to do it, but I figured that it might not hurt to just through it out. Besides it only took me like 2 minutes to type that up. But that would infinitely make Merv better than TWCore hands down |

what's the point, as you would still need a compiler and that's beyond anyone who can't code. |

Good plugins don't make a core better!
That's like the stupid people that get angry at me when I say XBox is the best gaming system out there. "But PS2 has better games! You're wrong!" |
