I am having problems creating a new arena with diff lvl... I made the new directory in asss with ?makearena.... or what ever it was... I have a arena.conf file in there with the map name..... when i hit esc-a in the game, it only shows the public arena..... any ideas? the tutorials are not clear on this, only tells you to change the map name in the conf files for your own map... I want to add another arena/map |

You need to create a map with DCME, which I linked you to in the other topic. Then just make sure you give that map the name you want, for example duel.lvl, then ?go duel will bring you to that map. _________________ (Insert a bunch of dead links here) |

Only the active arenas show up with esc-a; which means there has to be a player in it.
Just use ?go yourmap to go in the map
That's not an ASSS thing, that's how it works in any zone, actually |

If you type "?arena -a", it will list all available subarenas, whether empty or active. By default, esc+a will just list arenas that have people in them. |

?makearena should copy the public arena's settings and map.
if you go to asss/arenas/ you should find the zone you ?makearena'd. open up the arena.conf and you will see that it #include's the public arena's .conf. it should also have that map, although that might be referenced in the #include as well.
anyways, to start editing stuff for that arena, it's all in that folder.
btw that was all off the top of my head so someone plz verify. |

esc-a will ALWAYS show only the arenas with people in them.
Use ?go arenaname instead of esc-a... That's what most people use.[/b] |
