The new server is built and is running Xen very stable right now. I filled in the contracts for the data center, got my key card and biometric scans done (since I'm an employee of the parent company, I get full access to everything, anytime), and am waiting for my IP request forms to be completed and for them to tell me the four IPs I requested. The server is located out in Las Vegas, so expect your pings to be what any good West coast server would be since they are a tier one provider (aka, multiple multiple-gigabit connections). I get a dedicated minimum 1mbps with burstable upto 100mbps. They already said the connection I'm sharing with is pretty empty (only 6 other servers), so I'm expecting it to always max out everyone's connection (even those Finns).
System Specs:- Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
- 3x 300GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10
- 4x 1GB Wintec 800MHz DDR AmpX
- Some shitty 1U case
- Some good 300W power supply
- Spare 16x CD-RW slimdrive
The computer will be called Saturn as a whole, with each Virtual Machine being named after different moons of Saturn.
- Calypso - Dom0, the main OS booted into that controls Xen and all sub-machines. Running Gentoo 2.6.18-xen kernel.
- Telesto - Internal firewall. For VMs that don't need their own dedicated IP, will forward ports to specific machines like anyone's router at home. Running m0n0wall v1.231, though I may switch to just running a stripped Gentoo with iptables.
- Titan - Apache and MySQL. The main beast of the VMs. The forums and anything you guys will connect to will be through this. Using Gentoo, sharing whatever kernel the host is using (2.6.18-xen).
- Janus - Exim4. Since emails are a good source of constant spam/viruses, figured it would be in my best interest to just give it its own VM instance.
There are others planned, but I'll leave that for later dates and surprises.

When you mentioned Calypso it reminded me of the Odyssey.
Great English class but after that we read To Kill a Mockingboird (which I hated).
Ahh the memories.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that whole setup run you? (poker table excluded)

Every part cost a total of $792.67 after shipping. It is running about four times faster than the main computer I use. I believe I'll enjoy it very much as a server. Bandwidth will be $60 a month, before taxes as it comes out of my paycheck directly which is nice.

Which is not a table, just a fold up cover that was only $10 and is now 4 years old. It just makes our smaller circle table larger, so we just leave it there. And the whole bottom was coming apart, so had to hotglue the thing back together.
But in those pictures, it does look pretty good. Trust me, it isn't like that in person.

I'm actually pretty sad right now, please do that later.
Besides, nice setup of VMs, didn't read that before. I wanted to do such things too, just had no idea how.

The picture we took of the back had bad lighting, so you can't really see much and had to adjust the hell out of the image. But you can see my hackish job of getting a serial port installed.
Got my IPs assigned today (server2a.mineplowers.com -> server2e.mineplowers.com), but don't have the whole internal networking setup so the server is still at my house. And with how I feel right now, will probably be here until Friday.
I plan on making a personal Wiki which I'll keep a written record of how i setup the system, along with a lot of other personal tutorials I've done for myself. In it, I'll have pretty much every command I used to setup the server. The bitch of the whole thing was having Xen boot off a LVM running on a software RAID5. Oh boy, was that init ramdisk a bitch to reverse engineer and figure out what the hell was fucking up.

The server won't have a moniter.
You need the serial port to remote reboot or access a terminal (so if you lock yourself out of SSH by accident you can still login) depending on what the setup it.
