Just wanted to pop in and say hi and let everyone know (not that anyone cares) that i came back from my vacation! Wish everyone a merry christmas and new years and hope everyone has fun and safe holidays...if anyone doesnt have anything better to do, they can fill me in on what i missed these past months

For new users I would recommend IIS over apache. You can install IIS on xp by going into add/remove programs -> windows components. Just be sure to have all of your windows updates installed.

And like everyone else said, make sure you have port 80 on your router forwarded to the internal IP address of your PC. You will still need DNS hosting, which if you register your domains (whatever.com) through godaddy.com or network solutions, they offer DNS services for free.

I would absolutely not recommend IIS over Apache in any case.
