And, oh, not like old times when it just locked-up that one window, either. Tabbed browsing is so freakin’ great, right?
So I lost the serious post I was writing in another tab, and you get this instead. A not serious post. More of a rant.

That's what you get.
There's a reason for not using the same roof application for a task that involves important work and a lot of odd unknown loose free agents with a high likeability to cause a crash at the top of the chain.

Firebug's the only reason why I use FireFox sometimes. Otherwise, IE, sometimes Opera.

Oh shit, you showed me in my ways. How could I have been so wrong about using this brand of browser. Thank you for saving me from some much lost content that may happen in the future because I don't use a PDF plugin in the browser.
Then again, if one iexplorer or explorer window crashes, it takes them all down. Thank god they at least put this option into Windows, because explorer crashes all the god damn time when highlighting anything or trying to copy/paste more than one item at a time.
Bitching about a specific piece of software is pointless. Oh no, Firefox crashed because of an incorrectly made plugin! Oh no, I lost a post, but all the tabs came back because they built in a crash-restore feature! If you want to at least attempt to seem unbiased, post one out of every ten different IE exploit. Wait, never mind, that would just spam the forums too much.

Haha. I agree with MGB.
I've used all three of those browser. I personally like FireFox better. I.E. just doesn't measure up. That doesn't mean IE sucks though. FireFox is just the room for improvement from I.E. Which is a lot.

You did. You went completely bias, whining about pointless things that usually revolve around huge nerd fights: consoles and browsers. Most of the people here just don't care about them. We'll try a couple and go with what we like.
If I wanted to hear about people whining about them, I'd go to forums for that. Where huge nerd fights are happening, where the revolving arguments fall down to "OMG P$3 is so much money", "Wii, more like Pii", or "M$ Xboxx xlolx." The people here generally are more willing to try unknown things, hence why they are using and continuing on running servers for a game designed a decade ago.
News articles, a couple of updates on things, that is all well and good. But you are not doing that, you are just posting that the opposite of what you think is completely wrong. No ifs, ands, or buts. That is what is more annoying than anything Spyed has done.

Strike 1: I didn't whine jack. I make fun of things that get you nerds uptight about and you nerds who get uptight about these things.
Strike 2: Explorer.exe contains no sensitive data (folder browsing? PFFFTTTT BAHAHA) and is reexecuted easily via the task manager (an OS without a roof kernel/whatever that can lock up your entire system would be nice...any pioneering experimental software engineers in the crowed?).
Strike 3: This is trash talk, unmoderated, as per your wishes and despite mine...also, we know I was right all along and you suffer for it.
You're out.
It's your own doing/undoing.
Suck it up, bitch.

blame adobe. By your logic why don't we use a different computer for every program we run, just in case one of them decides to crash windows we won't lose the work on the others? _________________ SubSpace Discretion: A Third Generation SubSpace Client

I absolutely hate it when browsers try to open up .doc or .pdf files inside the browser. Maxthon does it too. I like Maxthon because it doesn't use up all my resources, but it takes up WAY more trying to access a file like that. Of course, for the same reason, I don't use FireFox at all.
Anyway, I wish more websites would pick up on the same things GMail has, and offer to display files like that in HTML.

Agreed.
You may notice that, contrary to Murphy's belief, I do not rant.
It is actually a quote of a games designer, notice up there, on the quote - Jeff Freeman? Yeah.
I just laugh at the lot of it/you.

Logic would dictate that I also check my messages when I login.
Yet you fail at a task so simple even I can perform flawlessly.
Shrug.
At any rate:

if you use adobe reader 5.0 firefox doesnt crash
The reasons for the crash are to do with acrobat trying to check for updates.
the later versions of adobe are unstable, crash both IE and firefox for me...annoys the hell out of me, adobe's latest software is just bloatware...
Acorbat Reader 8 20.8MB
Acrobat Reader 5.05 (9 MB)
Acrobat Reader 3.01 (4 MB)
now tell me how acrobat 8 is better than 3
Personally i question why you are using firefox at all if you don't like it. Stick with a tool you like and find easy to use. The great thing is there is a wide choice of browsers IE6 IE7 opera firefox netscape etc etc. i use IE6 at work and firefox at home _________________ Rediscover online gaming. Instead you quote other people's rants that you agree with. There was no reason to post his quote here except because you agreed with it and felt that there was a need to show others that your choice of not using Firefox is better than others' choice of using Firefox.

I don't agree with it more than I disagree with it.
I just find it funny enough to quote and flaunt around knowing it ticks you off and generate more laughs.
And that wasn't the rant, it was just a piece of the rant.
Here's the rant:
Jeff Freeman wrote: | the internet, she hate me

This is just the latest thing, in a string of things:
The internet just piped-down part of a pdf file (which was disguised as a web page, else I wouldn’t have clicked on it as a matter of principle). But not the whole thing, so that I could close it. Just part of it, so it could freeze-up my browser.
And, oh, not like old times when it just locked-up that one window, either. Tabbed browsing is so freakin’ great, right?
So I lost the serious post I was writing in another tab, and you get this instead. A not serious post. More of a rant.
Internet hate me? I hate a bit of her right back.
While this is fresh in my mind, I hate “pdf web pages†even when they don’t lock-up my browser. Most people using them are not trying to preserve some oddball formatting (that they shouldn’t have used in the first place if their primary target was the web), so I have to assume they used pdf because they are pretentious.
I hate how WordPress can’t write HTML worth a damn.
I hate websites that are actually just flyers, posing as websites. You can’t even pay to access their content online, because they’re actually all offline. This is what our web page would look like if it were really a web page! These links would lead to something other than an order-page!
I hate sites that require registration for no reason at all. Make me register to do something besides read your site, and ok. If I want to do that, I’ll even give you real information. But otherwise, knock it off or go away.
I hate sites taking advantage of what the internet offers, but obviously hating the internet. Not wanting to look like they are online, because they think so little of it, they look odd and behave strangely. In some ways those are even worse than the ones that are online because they think they’ve got to be, but haven’t figured out why.
I hate those, too.

I could care less what you do with it, but since you've just so much begged for a rant, there you go.
Enjoy your reading.
My rant on firefox sums up with this: WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK IF YOU LOVE FIREFOX? GO SIT ON IT WHILE YOU"RE IN THE CAN, DORKBUS NERD! HAAAAR!
Myself wrote: | Dr. Brain is a pompus arrogant stuckup feelingless stone-hearted dufus who is without passion and, while believes to pursue something which interests him, he's actually without any sort of love or interest for anything, probably not even himself; he's not even a doctor at that and as for his brain...while he might be able to score a decent IQ at an exam, he's not quite as intelligent as he would've liked to think, most likely even much more less of a 'brainiac' at that and his knowledge is more than possibly sums up at whatever mathematical field he applies his studying time to and could not migrate onto other fields as his overall combined shortcomings lack the apptitude to be able to invest focus and understanding into other fields. While I'm an asshole who follow, by most, the path of logic, he's by far an even much larger jerk who, had he not a heartbeat, could be mistaken for a machine any day. |
Oh and Murphy, Sony just got caught red-handed in the plate with a ploy of viral marketing.
Now everyone are seething at them with heaps of hatred.
Isn't that just marvelous?
And if you want more ranting, here's another Jeff posted:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNIWauMBV1w
I laughed...I don't care, I'm going to hell anyway.

Like I posted somewhere else, TT composes more than 40% of the total posts on these forums, so I think 40% of posts there is alright.
But I do echo Brain's comments. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.
