I changed the name to my as3 test zone, went to restart it, everything looked normal in my ssh screen, but the zone never showed up on the list. I can add it manually though to my continuum list, so it's up and running, but why it's not on the directory servers is beyond me. All I changed was the name.

Did you uncomment/load the 'directory' module?

Did the directory module print out all the normal stuff? (Make sure you have drivel on for that module.)

None of the SSCX-A zones show up in the zone list either.

Yes. It was already up, and showing up in the zone list. All I did was change the name of the zone, restart it, and it didn't show back up.

Which directory server are you talking about? It might not be listed in global.conf, or there might be network problems preventing the packets from reaching it.

You sure the prefix isn't taken?

Your asss test zone has the same problem. So does Hyperspace.

Could be a trickle down of the slap fight between Level 3 and Cogent. Try to ping the directory servers(all of them in your global) from the as3 server's host.

Nobody's answered my question: which directory server(s) do the zones not show up in?

The only directory server still online and working is that of Priit; sscentral.sscuservers.net .

All of them. I tested

sscentral.sscuservers.net
sscentral.subspace.inet.fi

Both of which are on Hyperspace's dir server list.

I think those two are the same.

Also SSCX seems to be having problems these past few days.

It happens when I try to put a prefix in the zone name that's already being used, like XXXX or in HS's case, SSCX. If I rename it to something that isn't already taken, it shows up. How can I correct this?

You have to have the same Directory password as the other prefixes have (found in global.conf, Directory:Password).

Well, it would help if that line was included in the global.conf... then I would have known it was there.

What other settings weren't included in the conf files that I should know about?
