Before my explaination was horrible and instead of using the correct word servername to place your zone name i said serverid which was very stupid on my part. If your wonder if i've tried this i've tried it many times with succeeding. And if you find a reason to actually use this please tell me because it seems pointless to use right now and its kind of for display like a fun thing to use or just to check out.

i will try and explain putting 2 zones listening on 1 port more clearly.

Step 1: Download server.zip from http://www.shanky.com/server/download.html

Step 2: Extract contents into a folder named Server

Step 3. Manually Create a new folder with any name inside the folder (server) that you extracted server.zip into.

Step 4: Go into Server.ini on one of the folders.

A. located Under [Misc] there should be a line with port= that is where you will place your port. ( read elsewhere on how to use ports).

B.Your billing password should be the same as your subbil.ini.

C. Make a password for Sysop mod energy smod vip.

D. Make sure your arenamode is on 5 this should be located under [custum]

E.On the first folder you made which you named Server in the server.ini in that folder servername= located under [billing] in front of Servername= put your zone name.

D. On the folder that you manually created that is inside the first folder you made named Server in the Server.ini put a different zone name in front of Servername= which is located under [Billing] .

Step 5. Run subbill.exe and Subgame2.exe.

What will happen that I know of so far: you will have 2 ip's on each zone
one of them will be the Ip on whatismyip.com the other will be the one you get using start - run - cmd - ipconfig - Ip Address well i use windows xp so im not sure what you use but thats all I know. i think its your main one though.

Next. 1 zone will have one of those IP's for me it is whatismyip.com and it will be on the directory but the other zone is not one the directory it is private so you will have to make a custum zone using the other IP adress which i think is your main one and you use the same port as the other zone so they both will have the same port.

when you enter one zone you are automatically entered in the other zone so you can be in the private zone and talk to people in the zone in the directory.

All commands are sent to both zones this also means *recycle *putfile etc.

Couple of things..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't run 2 zones on the same listening port. You have to have them spaced out by at least a couple of ports.
EXAMPLE:

Code: Show/Hide My Zone1 - Port 1000-1001 My Zone2 - Port 1003-1004

Second thing is, when you host zones on your computer, the external IP will be the same. The IP inside your network will only be different if you host the two zones on different servers/computers.

So really, the only thing you need to change is the ScoreID, ServerID, Port, and Server Name.

I still think running one subgame equals one zone. Allow me to demonstrate. Setup a local server anyway you want. Make a note of the port. Now go to cont and use the 'Add Custom' button. For the name choose anything, for port use the one you selected earlier, for ip put 127.0.0.1. Now repeat this add custom process, except this time put 127.0.0.2, repeat upto 255 and there you have a load of zone entries pointing to the same zone.

Because 127.0.0.1 is a loopback. It scans the the localhost, right?

So to run 2 zones on the same server and same biller, you just have to change the serverid, scoreid, name, and port.
