Okay, when i run my MERVBot.exe and try my bot in my zone, it acts very weird. Like when i type !rules it shows all the commands. When i look in the terminal it says it's possibly infected with a virus, i downloaded the MERVBot again and it keeps saying it's infected. Now what do i do ? Thanks alot.

Which plugins did you load?

Do you have a real version from catid?
Did you load plugins from an unknown/not trusted source?

What exactly is saying it's infected with a virus? The terminal or some other (probably anti-virus software) window?

This isn't the right time of the year for easter eggs.

Aye, I ask those same questions that were posed above.

Code: Show/Hide
else if (EXEChecksum != LocalEXEChecksum)
   {
      h->logEvent("Possible virus: remote EXE checksum mismatch (local:%i) (remote:%i)", LocalEXEChecksum, EXEChecksum);
      h->logEvent("Privileged access is required to remain connected to this zone.");
//      h->logEvent(" FIELDS: 6:%i 14:%i 18:%i 20:%i 28:%i 32:%i", unk6, unk14, unk18, unk20, unk28, unk32);
   }

Thats from mervbot source, its run durring the void __stdcall handlePasswordResponse(hostMessage *m).

My guess is that you set your zone to be continuum-only and you didnt make your bot a sysop. Place the sysop password in your bot's password. So say the bot is UserName: BobBot Password: abcd then for its password do : abcd*sysop or whatever the sysop password is. If you use the sysop.txt add it to that. It also couldnt hurt to add it to the vip.txt.

Haha that's gay, I never got such warnings when using my bot in a continuum-only zone with only moderator permissions, must be a new "feature".

Make sure you have Subspace.exe in the same folder as subgame or the server won't be able to generate the checksum itself.

Well, you can if you know what you're doing... but I guess that applies to most rules.
