Of course you can host it, with or without LAN. |

It'd actually be better if it were on your lan. That way, only you can have access to it. Perfect for testing _________________

He's probably on a router which doesn't have the right ports forwarded to his computer, same thing for another system on his lan, too. |

Just run it on the system you play on, you don't need to run it on a seperate computer if it's just for "getting everything to work". |

Err, I was just saying you can run it on YOUR computer or on another one in your network.
I won't try explaining anymore then, apparently giving you what you ask for is the only way to help you. |

For help with Linksys routers, read Weavil's tutorial. A list of some bots can be found here. For setting up the zone, look at the tutorial on the Server Help site.

Stop asking us if we understand what you mean or not, we did from your first post.
You can open the .dat and .bak files with a text editor, like notepad.
I'd recommend clicking Zones -> Add costum in the main window of Contiuum, though.
Just give it any name you want, use "127.0.0.1" as IP and the port your subgame is running on.
Why won't it let you run it from your own system? What is going wrong?
Bah, I can't believe I'm even trying to help this guy, doomed to fail anyway. |

Sorry if i ask you that, but i dont kno whats wroung i mean i did verything right in the server.ini and subbill.ini everything it told me to, and then i click in the subbill then subgam2 and it connects to the billing. Then when i go to connect to it from continuum it wont connect. Then it tells me to go to the help thing at subspace.com. Ok and i got your post befor i wrote this one and i did what you said and when i did all that the thing is green and then i started up the subbil and subgame and when i try to connect on continuum it says "Clinect connection request from billing server ignored. Does that help at all. |

Just go to this thread and read my first post, follow the link in it.
The INI checker will make sure the settings are right.
Copy the correct versions into your files, then try to connect again. |

sentences have a subject and a predicate, which includes a verb.
the problem with the first sentence is that it has four subjects and four predicates with only one conjunction.
the problem with the second sentence is that it's a dependent clause because it begins with the transitional word "if" and doesn't contain an independent clause to make it a sentence.
Here's a link to help you review before your next post: http://www.uottawa.ca/academic/arts/writcent/hypergrammar/subjpred.html
Here's another link if you ever ask yourself, "Is this a sentence?": http://ace.acadiau.ca/english/grammar/fragment.htm |

Put your name in sysop.txt.
Example:
I think this isn't required if you disabled CheckSysop under [Validation] in server.ini (if it's "CheckSysop=0" it's disabled, if it's "=1", then it's enabled).
In your server.ini you have set a few passwords, like this:
Quote: | [Password]
SysopPassword=abcd
EnergyPassword=dcba
ModeratorPassword=1234
SuperModeratorPassword=4321
VIPPassword=5678 |
(of course this wouldn't be secure enough, but whatever, it's just an example).
Logging in method 1:
You can put your sysop password at the end of your regular password, dividing both passwords by a '*' (asterisk).
If my password would be "cow", then I'd login as sysop by using this: "cow*abcd" as password.
You should make a new profile in Continuum so you can easily switch profiles since logging in at another zone won't work this way, of course.
Logging in method 2:
When you enter your zone you'd become a sysop by typing a '*' and then your sysop password.
Like this:
Then you're logged in as sysop.
The commandlist for subgame can be found here, but I guess you knew that already. |
