Server Help

Requirements are:
General Preparedness
General Knowledge
No assholes allowed(had enough of them)

The server will run 24/7 and is pretty reliable
Lagginess is unknown... I've never had more than 3 people in a zone
Stable, and runs on a seperate, dedicated system.

I'll check back here at least once a day.

Try to have a sense of humor about you please... stuck up people irritate me.

I'm not promising much in terms of performance other than it will run reliably.

Also, I would like to thank the fine tech support people we have here on these forums. You do a fine job.

Any specs on the host? Such as internet connect, processor speed, and memory?

Yup, I can tell you the system is unimpressive.
300 mghz PII processor
64mb RAM
Cable connection

I know a lot about running and maintaining a zone, so that could be a big plus if applicants are not veteran zone owners. But like I said, I don't want noobie applicants either... I'm offering this to help somebody's ideas get along, not to waste bandwidth.

Hey I host on cable, and it doesn't lag. I'm using nowhere near my max speed.

Nothing all too new to me.
Either way, I appreciate the good will TheBest999.

Actually the only thing I really need is a good way to get people in my zone... I don't have many contacts so it's kinda tough for me.

Yes, we can read TheBest999..you didn't have to quote him. And the fact that you quoted him and didn't even respond makes your post a waste of space. So, I have removed it. Please refrain from making pointless posts in the future.

You can use IM software to gather all the files and host on your own computer when testing settings/map, I can't think why any host would want to run a development zone.

im workin on it( developing it) to make it a real zone ..
sorry about the misconception

the only reason i can't run it on my own computer is because i don't know what the hell is wrong with it. neither does any of the techs, so i just gave up on that
