Has anyone got any idea why nearly all of the zones start with the letters SS? Is it just something that people decided was good or is it just a thing that makes the zone owners feel there zone is better?

SS is short of SubSpace sa_tongue.gif; and part of it I know for myself at least, it's due respect to the original game icon_smile.gif... CNT just don't cut it :/ hehe..

the most popular and long-lived zones are on the SSC biller (SSC = SubSpace Council)

it is typical for zones on the SSC biller regardless of host, to have SSC and then one more letter (though of course some zones just put "(SSC)" at the end)

billers and hosts after SSCU, SSCE, and SSCX that start with "SS" are all just unoriginal conformist retards

Thats SubSpace Central, not Council. The Council was made long after the Euro billing went up. I remember when Ghost Ship started it bugging him and others to not name the council that, since the SSC will get all mixed up everywhere, since every place (zone/website) likes to through SS everywhere.

Thats one reason why my Server Help site is called that, not SubSpace Server Help, or SSSH. Too many S's for my liking.
