Both! Client modifies the settings to the ultra-highest values and server allows it (so you can't use it without sysop powers, even not with a modified client, or you get kicked out because your settings checksum changes).
_
But I think (unsure) you can place a proxy between server and client and don't let death messages pass through and multiply weapon packets so you can shoot very fast and can't die.
_
Made a test with "shooting out of spec" (sending weapon packets while at ship 8*). Didn't work!
_
* = Spectator - the server has different numbers for ships:
_
Server numbers:
0 - Warbird
1 - Javelin
2 - Spider
3 - Levithian
4 - Terrier
5 - Weasel
6 - Lancaster
7 - Shark
8 - Spectator
_
Client numbers:
1 - Warbird
2 - Javelin
3 - Spider
4 - Levithian
5 - Terrier
6 - Weasel
7 - Lancaster
8 - Shark
S - Spectator |

Proxies don't work with Cont anyway since nobody knows the encryption.
But everybody knows you could do this with subspace _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.

You're right. Even if I wonder why no one knows the encryption. I know there is an unencrypted version of the "continuum.exe" version 38 out there (cont client itself is encrypted in the original version). And I got the unencrypted version. |

If a super hacker like you can't figure out the encryption, why do you expect anyone else to? _________________ 4,691 irradiated haggis! |
