My zones lvz is way to big (abput 3.5-4mb) and in continuuim it takes 4ever to download. i have seen people host thei lvz on a website to d/l from there and put the lvz in continuuim folder in their zone but it does not work for me why? |

Continuum may have an internal limit. I know that the transfering of files limit is 2meg, but the lvz limit itself may also be the same.
I seriously recommend you remove some of the files. Over 2 meg of images/sounds is too much. You don't need a 5 minute long victory music, or what ever is causing such a huge increase in size. |

I have a replacement of every file continuum uses. It's stored at my server and it's "only" 1 093 282 bytes huge.
But one strange thing is that I have an empty *.lvl file and it's 49 718 bytes. Seems to be only the tileset which does that much.
Now I understand why the map is transferred compressed. My map contains many many 00 and FF bytes so it can be highly compressed. |

Also remember, modem users won't stick around if it takes to long to download... Keep it to a meg or so. _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling |

Use several small lvz and make some of the less important ones optional. _________________ Expect the worst but hope for the best. |
