when I try to enter my zone, a window comes up called "Information" this is what it says....
This name does not have permission to play in the selected zone. See zone website (Web Links menu) or contact the zone administrator for information on player permissions. Meanwhile, please choose another zone.
What do I do??????????

here, you look at my server.ini and subbill.ini files. You will be able to better determine what is wrong with them than I will. Once you've looked at them, tell me what is wrong and I'll fix it.
server.ini - 4.34 KB
File downloaded or viewed 16 time(s)
subbill.ini - 0.28 KB

Server = Subgame2/Subbill
What does it say on those windows? _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.

You have to login as staff (mod/smod/sysop).
To do so, either append "*staffpass" to your Continuum password or type "*staffpass" while in-game.

This is an old problem with Subbill that has never been fixed. If the first name you create, after starting subbill, contained a sysop/smod/mod password in it, it would cause that name's password in subbill to contain that sysop password in it. But since subgame won't forward over the *pw anymore, it always shows up incorrect password.
My recommendation: delete the *.dat files in your subbill folder, and start anew. Just this time, the first name you log in as should be some random dummy name you'll never use again. After you attempt that and create that name, then create your real one. Should work fine.

Hmm, neat avatar.
Odd MGB, I never ran onto it.
Then again, I don't exactly update either.
All in all:
VIE-soft, fool proof.
Use it and you're home free.

Lol, gravitron. You crack me up. VIE can do no wrong, but Priitk is evil incarnate.
I ran into this a few times, but not every time. Maybe I didn't append my sysop pass to the first user I logged in with. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

Actually, thats where the bug is from. The VIE subgame, all version of it since forever, always forward the whole password field upon a new-name creation. Thats where this problem occurs. It should remove the *XXX from the password, but doesn't. So it isn't Priit's bug, he just never removed it because he probably doesn't know it exists.
