Server Help

Every time i go into my server it brings up this message
"This zone is not connect to the central player database. You should use a different password for this zone as your passwords my be exposed to zone staff. Do you still wish to login using the current password?"

Then if I say yes it comes up with this
"Unknown name. Would you like create a new user and enter the game this name?"

Can someone please help me?

Its perfectly fine.

The central player database is the big user name server known as SSC. Thats only open to larger zones that have proven themselves worthy. When it asked to make a new name, its creating a new name on your version of that server. The program known as SubBill is the same type of program as SSC. Its known as a Billing Server (but doesnt mean any money is involved).

That initial message is safely ignorable.

does some know how i can setup the server with the database files it comes with so i can log users, squads, and scores?

Thats the billing server. Its unique to each biller. Theyll have to make their own squads and such new to your biller. You dont have to do much configration for it other than the subbill.ini file.

I was asking about that cuz im trying to figure out if i can use the scoreman application that came with the ss server so i can look at user databases, squad, and score databases

Yes you can. Though it would be better for you to not manage it yourself, take someone like SSI or SSN and theyll take care of all that fore you. They have bigger name and squad databases, and have generally better banning systems.

LOL, one more question everytime i try to view those data files it says there empty how do i get the server to write on them so i can view on scoreman?

use SHIFT F12 to shutdown the SubBill.exe
Then you can access them.. It should autosave if its written well, I dont know how well its done.
