wow.. that is just so informative... care to give details? Perhaps re-read the material on shanky.com/server/ the "how to" setup a server... _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling |

Are you referring to the biller<->server relations post? If so, are you sure you're having biller<->server problems? Have you tried my INI Checker? _________________ This help is informational only. Perhaps, you are behind a router, or firewall? ....
U should give more details... like... is it appearing on the directory list, does subgame show you're attempt to login, etc. etc. ...
and if you had searched the forums before posting, I'm sure you'd find that many many many people have had the same issues before you, and many many many of the community have posted replies and possible solutions to it.
Good luck. and apologies for being harsh...

Sounds like an router issue... do a search with your type of router... or let someone here know what type you have and maybe they can help ya out... as I do not have a router and never had one, so i have zero experience w/ em |

| a router is a piece of hardware connected between the dsl/cable modem and all the computers it's running to... Could be a linksys, netgear, 3com, us robotics, or some other brand.... As for win me.... it sucks but it doesn't have a built in firewall. |

well like I said... normaly it is a device that your modem connets to... with the ethernet cables. Then all of your computers are connected to it. So with that said the name and model of the router are writen on it and that is how you find out what kind you have...
Is there a chance your in school and trying to run one from a dorm room or something? If thats the case then theres no way you can do it that I can think of. |

hmmm...... a router is more like a really small computer/.... dictionary.com says A device which forwards packets between networks. The forwarding decision is based on network layer information and routing tables, often constructed by routing protocols.... but ignore that cuase it wont help..... Easy way to find out... if your dsl uses eithernet (cat 5) cable trace it from your computer to the dsl modem... If you run into a box with flashing light between your computer and the dsl modem then that is most likely a router.....
Dsl might change your ip address every hour or so which would cuase it to not work. Someone here might know a way to fix that.... |

<clears throat> Excuse me, lol. Try ours, a lot of us put work into that, lol.
A router is like a switch or a hub and rather like a gateway it serves the internet to the computers on your network alowing for all computers to be a host. _________________ Like the add say's, Just Do It!!... |
