anyone here messed with a 1.5 gig Rio Nitrus mp3 player..? i'm thinking about one for my little brother, and i can't afford the iPod his friends all tell him he wants...

iPod is extremely overpriced. Sure, it's good-lookin, but you have to pay like $200 more for it.
My friend has had good experiences with the RCA Lyra (I think it takes 128mb cards).

the Nitrus is a hard drive (though small) player

the Archos boxes are nice, though a little large for my needs. I hit my machine at least once a day, so i don't see a need for >2 gigs
