Oh god, before posting your post search for the help topic.

I split this because it was a pointless post and to publicly respond to this without derailing the other topic, knowing that others will make comments on what I say.

Do not whine about how search could have fixed everything. Sure, it seems like everyone who posts here could have figured out their question if they searched, so it seems like a majority don't, but it is a minority. Of unique IPs that look at more than 6 pages on these forums (excluding crawlers), over three-fourths of them came form a search engine or went to search.php. Subspace servers are a unique problem, and without have every post here thrown into a repository, most of the knowledge is still arcane.

If you post a response stating that a search could have solved their problem, include a link to either the search query you did ([goole]Query[/goole] directly links to I'm Feeling Lucky, while [search]Query[/search] goes directly to a search query on these forums) or the page that you found, and include an excerpt of the answer. Just stating how searching could have found the answer doesn't help.

I seached for "Why doesn't my server work?" and found nothing remotely helpful.

Surely there is a way to make the search engine more successful. Like any search engin (google, yahoo ect) you can use quotes to make the search far more reasonable. Instead of searching for Word to your mother, and getting a shitload of finds you can just use quotes and find a few 1000 sites that refer to Vanilla Ice's pimpin quote.

I have tried to use serach but ive been unsuccessful on all PHP forums so it might not be possible but shit, you guys are pretty smart in the coding department, surely you can figure something out.

It takes a certain IQ to use the search, and an even higher amount to use it properly.
The average user fails to reach an adaquate measure of such.

And whatever Murphey said, he's a moron, so just ignore him.

Your IQ jokes dont make things better. Why not make the search engine more userfriendly for the people using them, everyone using them isnt going to be a genius, most of them are using the search because they cant figure something out.

I'm guessing your 'higher' IQ means you add random vowels into people's names?

About improving the search engine here: if you want to rewrite phpbb's search engine, go ahead. Otherwise, Google's site:forums.minegoboom.com search works pretty well.

Why don't you add that in as a search tool here?

They make me smile, it's all that counts.

That's what the wiki is for.
It's a big user-friendly FAQ.
If you need help to manage youself with wiki navigation, then you may just be beyond help.

I've always maintained that people who can't figure out how to set up and run a SS or INF server, shouldn't be involved in "servering" to begin with.
Since they're pretty much, even after continuum-client&subgame changes, the easiest of game servers to operate.

No; That will be my apathy towards properly spelling the names of non-factor trollish Judas.

I root for Default.
If nothing else, because she's a girl.

When are you going to leave?

Can't say right now...
Need to find an active forum which interests me the least.
Or a game to play instead of posting here.
Maybe get off my lazy butt and run with one of my many projects, heh.
When I feel like it, I simply pick up and leave, though, so you might not notice it until couple days later.

You could just google it of course. And download Americas Army if you are that desperate to get away from this game and forum.
