is it possible to use a animated shipset in a zone like 1 ship that moves a certain way over and over and repeats. like a gif , animation? or is it possible to make it work with a application?

The only fitting answer would be the age-old one: "Yes, but no."

It would have to be frame by frame as well as by rotation. Like, take MG. If you wanted to have their legs move, you'd have to have rotate left - take left leg back. And so forth.

It would be really time consuming but cool icon_smile.gif

You're talking about how Infantry had their character's legs move, right?

Like Cyan said, you _can_...because you _can_ do anything with software - the only questions are _can_ you spare the time it would take to do it and _would_ you?

The only amount of ship animations I would (in the past, anyways) take the time to create, would be ones exploiting the frames of the rotating ship - basically creating an animation, but only when the ship is rotating.

what do you mean suse? You mean you can by re-writing continuum to support these sorts of things?

I think there was talk about ship location dependent lvz that could create a similar effect, but that's not in the current version of continuum.

ASSS to the rescue?

even ASSS won't save you this time, as it's a server. You'd need to modify or rewrite the client.

A bot (or I'm guessing an ASSS module) can fix just about anything for you, but it's almost undoubtedly a waste of time (...that's already excluding this being a game).

no, you couldn't get this effect with a bot or a module as they both can only work on the information they get (~one movement packet every .1 second). You'll never be able to have an animation as a player ship because that would have to update every frame drawn by the client... which happens ~50 times a second. The client would need to be changed.

Your best bet might be to lay a screenobject ontop of a ship, use a bot to turn it on for certain ships or whatever.

Lol, you make me smile Solo icon_smile.gif Agurus, your zone hasn't got everything, not even half the talk within the subspace community is about your zone, so stop trying to gain more population. (and popularity?)
