Which of these are better and are preferred servers?
I know that ASSS is open source a more new, but is it better than subgame?
What features are unique about each one? |

Nobody can really tell you what is better. It all depends on you and your zone. Thats pretty much asking "Whats the reason of life?". Go read up about ASSS to read about its features. |

You can do much more on ASSS, there's no doubt about that. But if you're not going to use the additional features, it's not worth it.
Basically, you don't need bots because the modules are handled by the server itself. So you have... let's say... bots that don't lag at all, and can do much more.
Go spend a few hours in Hyperspace, you'll certainly see several features of ASSS. _________________ (Insert a bunch of dead links here) |

I recently played hyperspace, and it is awesome!
But I have a queue of questions...
Note: my host is down at the moment (ssff)
1. correct syntax for a welcome message when you enter arena, I used one, but didnt work...
2.How to make it so you can customise ships and other features...
3. A fix to the alert when you enter a arena without ssc biller, snrrrub had something for this right? |

2. do esc+c in game as sysop. or home/conf/svs/ folder to edit out of game. |

1. I think you can set it the same way as subgame, if you esc-c ingame while being a sysop, look for the Misc:GreetMessage value
Though there is probably a way to do that the ASSS way |

arena.ini or arena.conf?
If you're using ASSS, make sure that in modules.conf, there's a line written "messages" in it, if not, then add the line somewhere at the bottom. That, plus check to make sure that your periodic messages are configured properly (if you're changing settings in-game, the proper syntax will be explained for you). |
