I don't think you can set a minimum resolution with subgame. |

Oh, minimum? I don't think they would have something for that because a lower res is just a disadvantage to the player |

I wanted to post this before, but didn't feel like pressing "Submit" before closing my browser window.
Some systems have video cards which have a low maximum resolution.
They don't support today's higher resolutions, because they're cheap or old, or just can't support any higher ones because of the monitor's resolution restrictions.
Forcing a system to take a too high resolution can cause it to give out-of-range errors at best and smoked up screens at worst (some would just crash (reboot)).
So, setting a minimum resolution in a zone wouldn't be a good idea, unless (if you'd really want it) the client (Continuum) could make sure the system supports the resolution (but that would still suck).
It would just be nasty for the players, indeed.
Not in the way D1st0rt said though, with a minimum resolution setting you're not forcing a player to take a lower resolution. |

Putting a minimum resolution is just plain stupid imo because higher resolution = more advantage in ss. _________________

but the whole reason for having a minimum is to keep players from setting their resolution below that level. Anyone with half a brain, as Mav and myself have pointed out would go for the highest resolution possible, so this would basically only be effective in weeding out people with crappy monitors from playing in your zone |

It would still be dangerous without knowing the system's limits, therefore it would suck!
Meh, find out how crappy they are by their scores, not by their monitors. |

You might want to set a minimum res if you are messing with the radar. Such as a screen object overlaid. This in itself is flawed as there is a large or small radar user option and the alt-map.
And solo ace, I don't think the game would ever force someone to use a certain res. They would either spec only, or disconnect. |
