I would like mostly facts. Some opinions could be added like if i don't have a certain skill, subgame/asss will be harder to use.
So which is it?
ASSS?
or SUBGAME?
my vote is subgame because the conf settings on ASSS is too confusing
Even after going through the tutorials. |

I found setting up ASSS easier for the first time than setting Subgame up for the first time.
Currently I'd say Subgame would be easier to setup, just because there's less to configure.
You shouldn't compare these two by how easy they are to setup since both are very different from eachother.
I like ASSS more than Subgame because it makes it easy to add functionality to the server. |

running an ASSS server invovles double clicking a .bat file, while running a subgame server requires editing your server.ini, starting a billing server, and then running an executable... why people would vote subgame is beyond me _________________ SubSpace Discretion: A Third Generation SubSpace Client |

| ASSS is much easier to setup. But Subgame is easier to use for people who are new to servers and such. Start with subgame and then work your way up to ASSS. The conf files are easy to setup, plus they are split up in a logical way with ASSS, so I would think setttings would be easier to change with ASSS. |

Its the same thing that was talked about earlier, it has to do with the end date. I'm too lazy to find the topic it was discussed in tho _________________

For me, ASSS was easier, but most likely (as 50% said) because I'm now rather used to that kind of stuff. _________________ This help is informational only. also, i dont know C++. How could i work with the modules that way?
bots dont use C++ (unless you're making one). all you have to do is edit the .ini file |

| If you have the module compiled, add it in the modules.conf without the comment ";;". |

What you said there is messed up.
Bots and their plugins (except for a few) are written in C++, and ASSS modules are written in C.
Indeed, "all you have to do is edit the .ini file", but that would be the same for ASSS modules too, this has nothing to do with C or C++. |

You don't need to know how to program to run asss. You just need to be capable of double clicking.
1. Double click the archive to extract it.
2. Double click asss.bat.
3. Double click continum.
4. Type this in: | Quote: | | ctrl + z, alt + c, "blah", alt, "127.0.0.1", alt, "5000", enter, enter |
Steps 3 and 4 you have to do with subgame as well. |
