Hi there,
i purchased a DES-1005D switch as i needed it for my studying.
One of the computers had MS Server 2003, and the 2nd one has XP on it, and i wanted to create a local area network between them, so i could share files and printers e.c.t. so i followed the steps on your website of how to set up the connection (new connection wizard) and i done this on both computers, as it said to do in the manual. Yet still on both computers it still says "Limited or no connectivity", packets are sent and a few are recieved. Also on the second computer (XP), theres a folder which is called "Shared Files (Dell)" which had just arrived after the wizard set up. Finally i tried connecting the 2 computers directly together, without the DES1005 D and it still has come up with "Limited or no connectivity", and ive tried turning the Switch on and off, yet this hasnt done anything.
