So, been a while sense I've visited here. What have I been doing with my time you ask? Well I'll tell you! I have a full time job now, I've had it for almost a year. I have also been taking classes in 3D modeling. I want to be a 3D modeler/animator/Environmental artist. What? You want to see some of my work you say? Well, don't mind if I do..

Please feel free to comment on it or give suggestions and whatnot. I've been trying to post more, but I keep busy. Anyway, enjoy kiddies! |

Actually, I figured out High school is a waste of time, at least it is for me. So, I dropped out and got my GED, sense it's the same and I don't have to wait 3 years to get it. So now I'm in college. |

I dunno, I mean, don't get me wrong, I did like High school. I miss hanging out with friends and doing stupid things. But, I wasn't learning what I wanted. So why should I wait 3 years to get exactly where I am now?
Smong: I use 3Ds Max for modeling and Photoshop CS3 for textures and different maps.
EDIT: And no, that wasn't me above |

i think the whole concept of taking different classes in high school, especially stuff you never think you are going to use, is to make you a well rounded person instead of simply one dimensional. perhaps that is why you thought you weren't learning exactly what you wanted. hell even in college i'm not learning everything i want. I'm an architecture major and i'm going to try and minor in computer science, but all these damn GE's get in the way. And if its not enough that i have to take no less then 16 units every quarter for the next 5 years to graduate on time, minoring is going to be a bitch .
I didnt care about the learning part of high school, but i was definitely there because of the friends and teachers. Besides senior year is cakewalk anyway, so i didnt mind sitting around for 5 periods and then going out and playing baseball. but like i said, best of luck to you. |

Heh, well thanks. At my high school we didn't have many choices for extra classes. I also failed a grade, not because I couldn't do it, I just didn't want too. I think it was well worth it. But meh, no big deal now. |

"Good enough degree" Just kidding. It's kind of like a diploma when you graduate early. You take a test, if you pass it says you're smart enough to get by. Some places require at least a diploma (not a GED). Sometimes a GED is enough. As long as you have a 2 year degree at a community college, it shouldn't matter if you have your GED or not. |

most people get GEDs not because they graduate early but because they dropped out, regretted it later but were too old to go back to high school. So they take some night classes, if needed, with other adults and get their GED. Most employers (and like BDwinsAlt said, colleges), treat it equivalent to a high school diploma. _________________ SubSpace Discretion: A Third Generation SubSpace Client |
