The download for my zone is VERY long...so I figured the only way to make it shorter would be to change my filetypes, and I was wondering if .png was the smallest I could change it to. |

Hmm this is weird, I turned everything into .png files, they were smaller, but when I turned them to LVZ the files was slightly larger than when they were bmps |

Catch me if I'm wrong here, but I thought that LVZs compress bitmaps anyways. |

It does, but I'd like it to be a lot smaller if at all possible. |

You can try this lvz maker, it might compress smaller:

Have a look at what's in your lvz and decide what's really necessary and what isn't. Sounds can be reduced in quality to save space. You can make lvz an optional download by prefixing a "+" before the filename in the LevelFiles setting. |

be sure to use indexed (8-bit) PNG, unless you're really hooked on purdy color support
also there are a couple other apps that press things down a _tiny_ bit lower than pngcrush - not positive the extra time/effort is worth it |
