Honestly, maybe whatever sad story brought here is legit.
I do not know.
I did not check.
After the first sentence, to me, it was obviously that this is one of them many spam "send me cash please because X Y Z" emails.
I can't help but laugh at the such.
Frankly, I think it'll simply filter all incoming mail coming from unknown sources.
If Level3 can depeer Cogent, I can simply block all unfamiliars.
After all, this is what newsgroups are for, networked mailing lists for those who are acceptable peers to send and receive mail from.
Since suckers are born every minute, and some of you may be really THAT bored, here's the junk mail:

It is due to this situation that we have decided to contact you for assistance to make claims of this fund from the security firm in Europe on behalf of my family. As soon as you claim this fund you will transfer it into your account, deduct your share and secure our share until we come over to your country.
For your assistance you will be entitled to 10% of the total fund, While 3% will be used for any expenses that we may incur in the course of this transaction.
