You can get a better connection
Or a dynamic DNS and put it in the zone description as ss://whatever.net (Sometimes doesn't want to work for some reason) _________________ 3y3 4m l33t h4x0r

Better connection...lol, yet again you make an incorrect statement SOS.
rooftiles, what you require is a static IP.
To have a static IP from your ISP is not always possible, depending on your ISP and your own hardware (not every ISP offers it, and you cannot do it with a dail-up modem) as well as costy (they charge extra monthly).
You can try to get someone with a static-IP of the current servers to host you.
Or adress one of these sites and see if you can simulate a static IP with your comp via dynamic DNS:

I also have changing IP so I went to no-ip.com and made an account. I now have a hostname that redirects to my actual IP. What do I have to do now with that hostname? Do I have to put it on some serverlist _________________ Expect the worst but hope for the best. |

In the server.ini:
Description=ss://your.dns Blablablablablabla
ss:// links only work when they are at the beginning of the description for some reason... (the only way i got them to work)
The ip is not updated by the server, but by continuum
It takes cntm a few seconds to do that, so your zone will appear red for about 6 seconds and then turn green.

I did as you said but it doesn't seem to work. I have to download the server list before my server turns green.
edit: solved within PM. I deleted everything from server.ini:Directory:Description except the ss//mydns |
