The zone is in the downloaded zone list, but when I add it. It has 0 avg ping and turns red in about 10 seconds.
problem? |

Yes, problem.
If someone asks you "it does not werk, how to fix?", would you be able to determine from that question what the problem is?
No, you wouldn't.
You'll really need to provide more information about your problems.
Also, use the search feature or just read some similar threads, I'm sure you'd be able to find your answer.
If you really can't figure it out, post the text in the console windows and/or your ini files. |

Possibly the server has an old copy of your directory entry? Look on the dir server's list to see if there's another copy of your zone. _________________ This help is informational only. First I assume you are trying to connect to a server on your computer. You just need to use the add custom button in the zones downloader, add your zone with a different name than what you set in the config. Use 127.0.0.1 as the IP.
(If you are connecting to someone elses zone, then it should be obvious that the zone is currently down). |

Yeah, try what Smong said (not what MS-DOS said).
If you keep having problems: "post the text in the console windows and/or your ini files". |

back to the old problem:
zone list downloaded, add my zone, click ok.
main screen shows 0 avg ping for my zone for about 5-10 seconds - then the zone goes red.
why is it on the zone list, but is down? |

I know what you've done, don't try to make me look like the idiot here by repeating it; I can read but you obviously are missing something, don't "omg" me for your own mistakes.
As I said: "try what Smong said".
For those who don't know how to scroll up to a previous post:
| Smong wrote: | | You just need to use the add custom button in the zones downloader, add your zone with a different name than what you set in the config. Use 127.0.0.1 as the IP. |
And to make sure you'll get the chance to understand I'll just quote myself from this thread:
| Solo Ace wrote: | ... add a costum zone in Continuum (go to "Zones" -> "Add Custom...").
The name you give to it doesn't matter, put "127.0.0.1" as the IP address, and the port number as the port the server runs on.
|
Follow those instructions instead of trying to enter the zone entry you downloaded from the directory servers.
And, how do you know if server.ini and subbill.ini are fine if you didn't even come far enough to check? |

Indeed, you cannot make subgame and subbill listen at the same port at the same time.
Maybe this thread can help you fixing your problem too. |

Hi thundy, sup ho?
I thought we made it clear, neither of us can host any game's zone cuz we're behind firewall/router.
Gonna need someone to host for us. |
