I am trying to make a sub-arena in a zone that is going to have different shipset and graphics. I downloaded a airplane shipset with "roll" and everything from subspacedownloads.com but when i unziped them, they where in .bm3 files and i think you need them in .lvz ? Well i cant figure out how to change the files "correctly" into lvz files and then save them in the right spot. Since they are graphics do i save them in the main folder under graphics or in the main Continuum folder ? I have tried doing somethings already but evertime i try to load them to the sub-arena i get d/ced and get (stuck) and it never gets any further. need help respond would be nice |

Download the lvztoolkit from the downloads section of shanky.com/server
Look at the examples. Not very hard to find out.
http://home.arcor.de/cozy3k/lvz might also help.
For shipset, just place all the images that came with the file you downloaded into a lvz.
Put the lvz in you Cont main dir.
Use *putfile to upload the lvz to the server.
Now edit the server.cfg (your settings) and add your lvz to Misc:LevelFiles
i.e. Misc:LevelFiles=yourname.lvz

First off... get the lvz toolkit and read it.
Second a bm2 is just a bmp with renamed extension
(To change file extensions with file renames.... on a folder: tools> folder options > view tab > uncheck "hide extension for known file types")
Third: Contact me via im if ya need any help understanding lvzs. _________________ Catgirls aren't an obsession but a way of life! |

no, that's not right
although it is fair to say most people use it like that (no idea why they use it at all) and that Continuum is hardcoded to require the .bm2 extension for the contents of Continuum\graphics (good job with that copy&pasting, PriitK ) |
