Yeah, but your 'fix' only fixes one method. Anyways, I havn't had a problem, because this site is very low-traffic, so its ignored by almost any spam-bot. Your little fix does attempt to prevent one user from spamming, but like I said, I havn't had a problem with that, and there are tons of different ways to do that beyond just what you have.

Plus, I do already have some protection a bit, in which a single user cannot post something like more than 100k worth of information within a certain timeframe, without another user posting. Of course, that doesn't work if being spammed by someone using two users at one time.

Hell, in about a minutes worth of time, I can setup a while-do loop to work with wget to post massive random data every X minutes to a different forum or thread that will easily bypass your fix.

So the best defence is to have a staff to moderate the forums at all times. But that won't happen with a small forum like these. So I place my trust into the user's hand, and so far, Trash Talk forums have been proof that most people won't abuse some of the freedom they get. But every so often, when you do get a bad apple, they will get by.
