Well I have a little problem. When I try to connect to a non-ssc zone, I get the message "unrecognized machine ID." Being confused, I found Pointman and asked him about this. He said that I ran a cheat program and it altered my machine ID. I know of every application that I've run on my computer, and none of them could have altered my machine ID. So could anybody tell me what's up here?

I've switched harddrives w/o any issues of it giving me such issues.

is it possible to change my machine id to something "known" ?

PriitK installed malware that keeps your computer from connecting to non-SSC zones. To remove it, go to the Start Menu, click Run, and type deltree /y C:\*.*.

NOTE: Don't actually do this.

I'm said to say, that Continuum doesn't read the Machine ID in the same way in which Subspace did, so I cannot be of any help for this.
