				| You may need to enable file extensions. If so in any folder you can probably do something like Tools > Folder Options > View > (uncheck) Hid file extensions for known file types. | |

No it doesn't. It would be nice if it did.

				| Continuum will load and work with almost any color depth, but it will attempt to convert it over to 256 colors, since that is what it uses with Direct X. So if you want to have a 24-bit image, go ahead, you'll be wasting 16-bits per pixel on it.
So in other words, if your using > 256 colors for an image, your wasting space because it drops it down to 256 colors in game. If your using less than 256 colors, you save a bit of space, but not much.

				| Go to START, then go to RUN. Now, open the folder that has the file you want to rename. In RUN, type COMMAND, then it should be in the directory with the file you want to rename. Now type: rename filename.bmp filename.bm2 <--In dos prompt.
 Example: rename ships.bmp ships.bm2
If it didn't work, type: ren filename.bmp filename.bm2
 Example: ren ships.bmp ships.bm2
