Bot Questions - Bot that regulates ship attaching

Post subject: Bot that regulates ship attaching
Is there a bot that will regulate ships attaching to other ships. I created an arena called battleship and need to stop planes from attaching to ships other than the aircraft carrier.

Settings cant do it. There is no setting that forbids a Certain ship from attaching to another.

could you set TurretLimit=0 for all the other ships?

If done right, you can make it so that certain ships cant attach at all, and that certain ships can only be attached to. Do it right!

One word: ASSS modules.

That one word will solve all your problems, as you can deny attach requests.

I thought the client didn't support "denied attached requests" (so players will disappear for a few seconds and some may even lag out).

It supports detach requests, and you simply send one right after you get the attach request. They will never change places.

But thats dirty. Its better just to trick the client.
Say ship 7 cannot attach to 6 or 8, but everyone else can attach to everyone else. Send the players in ship 7 a slightly diferent settings packet.
Even better: Add in a deny-attach packet. The player thinks that target ship is not attachable.

Make the zone or arena Continuum Only so no bots can be in any ship

He's not talking about keeping bot from attaching. He's talking about bot keeping players from attaching.

Hey explodythingy you CANNOT do it within the settings. This is for an arena in TrenchWars called Battleship. I want ship 3 (plane) to be the only ship to be able to attach to the carrier (ship 8). There is 3 attachable ships, the frigate, battleship and carrier. I would like only the plane to be able to attach to the carrier only and I want only ship 1 & 2 (guns & cannons) to attach to frigate and battleship.

As for ASSS I would imagine that TrenchWars doesnt not run off it so that wouldnt help me.

Is there a bot out there already that handles ship attachments?

As far as I know, there is no command that will detach a turret in subgame2.

Hey I wasnt talking to you, I was talking to dr brain about ASSS.

There is no way for a bot to control ship attachments. Only the server can control that, and since its so limited, despite the range the settings offer, it cannot be done under current conditions. To get such specific control, use ASSS.

Make frigate and battleship attach bounty high, and carrier low. Then make plane initial bounty low and ships 1 & 2 high.
You will probably have to switch to fixed kill points, remove kill bounty and/or remove prizes. Fixed kill points can still be "varied" by giving extra points depending on how many flags your team has.
