Hey, guys. It's been a while.

I was wondering if any of you know of some great material on artificial neural networks that might be of good use to someone new to the subject. I've downloaded multiple books that cover the concept. I'm really looking for books that delve into the application of ANNs in realistic situations. I've found a lot of books and research publications that revolve mainly around the theory behind them. Albeit the usefulness of that for conceptualizing, implementation is what's most important in the end.

Also, if any of you guys can tell me of some nice practice projects to work on in order to exercise my newly-found knowledge, I'd appreciate that too.

So, any ideas?
