Need a bot built as all our backups have been lost from the past. Willing to pay to have it coded, either it can be a whole new core or just plugins to an existing core if that would work better, I'm not very familiar with the type of code used. PM/E-mail or find me in game to discuss if you are interested.

Why not use Mervbot, or more specifically, what exactly do you even require this bot to do? What about using ASSS?

Not opposed to it, didn't know what the right route would be. We had powerbot before. Most of the mervbot plugins will work for main arena, but when it comes to the practice arena none of them seem to fit. It is comparable to the chaos zone 4v4 arena bot. I can give all details if someone is willing to setup a 4v4 league play style plugin. Right now still on subgame and I'm not sure if ASSS is an option. What do you recommend?

If you're willing to put in some time to learn some of the features asss is worth it. Otherwise, stick with subgame.

Try specifying any one of the following:

The nature of the bot. Really, I have no idea how you left that out.
The zone.
The pay. No one will take you seriously until you start talking numbers and delivery.

Without at least one of those, you will get no takers.

Just a few things to add on Gallitin's behalf. Asss is unfortunately not as option as SSCX Starwarzone is hosted on Priitk's box so we are stuck using bots. Starwarzone League has been merged into the main zone for some years now... What we need is a bot that functions the way the old league bot functioned.

It's just a 4v4 dueling type bot that we need. 3 deaths spec. !cap for the captain of the freq to choose his team. Functions would include !sc ship changing functions only usable after a death for x amount of seconds. The ability to reset scores after the game is over and at the star of a new game. Locking the arena while a game is in progress. Pretty much a mirror image of the type of the bot used in premier league (chaos zone 4v4 sub arenas), but we do not need all the bells and whistles that come along with that bot (they are super nice but it would be a TON more work to duplicate). 30 min timer. Some basic end of game stats (most kills most MVP things like that).

Anyone familiar with 4v4 dueling type leagues, would have a pretty good idea of what we are looking for. It's a shame we had a wonderful bot for years (powerbot core). At one time Xalimar had backups of all of the zones he hosted but we all know what happened there. Our (ex) sysop Mackieman is not coming off of any of his backups and we are left trying to piece the zone back together. We are using merv now with all the great plugins and that has covered most of our needs other than swzl.

I hope this post may shed a bit more light on what swz is looking for. We are in no way married to using mervbot core although it is serving us well for most of our needs. If anyone needs more info on exactly what we are looking for I would be happy to fill in any blanks.

Well, first off, have you contacted the owner of the premier league bot? They might be willing to give you a copy. If not, you might bring up the subject of payment, as in this thread.

Secondly, you're stuck using bots on Priitk's box, but is there any reason you can't ask one of the other hosts if they'll give you asss hosting? That's assuming you want it, of course.

Just a plugin to merv or an entire new core for something like this? What would this take 4-5 hours? $50/hour? Paypal is a must and won't discuss any other paymet.

Im sure snrrrub will host you, no problem. Take your ssc slot and bring it over to SSA and you can use ASSS if thats what you wanna do.
