(To those who don't care about background etc etc., jump to the part where there is a "----------")

Some of you may remember the zone created by Eight182 called "ToadBall", it was hosted by NASC and its full name was "NASC RAVE ToadBall"
It was probably the most creative and unique zone out there, pretty fun, too. Well, Eight shut it down one day. Not too long ago I thought to myself, "hey, whats stoppin' me from bringing it back?". ToadBall was a great zone, I played there a lot and even though it seemed awkward, I thought a league for this would be the funnest thing since playing with blocks in preschool:)

I began working on the zone, recreating graphics, ripping sounds, constructing settings, and mapping. I then asked Eight if I could recreate the zone, afterall, it's his concept. He said yes. Now i'm on the journey to recreate the infamous- Toadball!
* Remember, i said recreating graphics, this means that I made them, I didn't take the originals.

Some goodies i'm adding into ToadBall- more classes/ships, some additional graphics, a "Star" setting (similar to NBA Jam's "fire", and similar to Subspace's "super". Getting a star would be very small probability, but with one you'd fly higher than ever, move faster, fire more fireballs than the real Mario himself, and get some other goodies).

---------------------------------------------------------------
Here's the deal; I have been sitting alone in this zone on Subgame trying to test settings, but I cannot tell exactly if they are balanced without other players. I plan to release this zone to complete public (on a host etc.) on or within a day of .38's release (unless its like tomarrow;). I am looking for some players with patience and a knowledge of settings and mapping. I need feedback greatly.

Until probably monday I will have the zone in the zonelist as "ToadBall" and it will be open for anyone to test. But afterwards, I hope to have a host and I will put permission only and gather the most supportive/effective testers and put them on. They will be recognized on a website later (if it's ever developed).

So please head over to the zone "ToadBall" and check it out, i'm working pretty hard.

Network owners, I need a host! If you're willing to take host my zone (and maybe a bot), then please contact me:

Chatting: in Subspace, I play on the alias "fresca-" in Powerball, or you can catch me in my zone "ToadBall" if it's online.

Thanks.

your testing predicament is a common one. see if you can sign up for a testing spot somewhere else, or, if you can, make a bot to beat up on.

MERV has a byte-spasm when it dies on my machine. I used to have a "beanbot" that didnt, just sat a 512 512 and died. I will see if i can dig it up. You can always take a bot and *setship it, though
