The fact that it took them this long to get OSCAR support makes me worry more than a little. I'll stick to Gaim. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

I chalk it up to the Miranda development team first choosing only to go with TOC because they wanted to "play by the rules".. This frustrated people to no end. Before I quit my job I switched from Gaim to Miranda .4 earlier this year because of OSCAR support. Gaim on windows isn't *that* great. It was odd switching back to the ICQ style, which I so dearly loved back in 1997. However, on linux gaim 2.x development is doing well. _________________ Oldbie Server Help |

Miranda is slow and mainly dependent of its community to make plugins to fill in a lot of blanks.
But aside that, I think it's quite good.
Far more stable than trillian, and I find GAIM somewhat lacking. |

I find no problem with trillian, except it's not really made for it to take full advantage of IRC. But I just use Xchat from time to time, when I'm on Linux. |

I use Miranda simply because it's very lightweight. Gaim and Trillian are not. |
