I just switched to Opera on my work PC from Firefox.
Tried to get a wav file to play embedded. wouldn't work after installing firefox, wmp10, etc ... Installed Opera. Worked fine after installing. I still use Firefox on my linux box at home though.
This is going to take a little getting used to. I'm not sure I like the lack of key strokes. I'm going to try this out for a couple of weeks. Heck, maybe I won't look back. _________________ Oldbie Server Help |

I recently switched to opera not too long ago myself... so far I love it; took a bit of customizing though. _________________ There are 7 user(s) ignoring me right now. |

The FF thing sounds like a winamp/quicktime/mediaplayer issue to me. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

I started to use the new IE from Microsoft. They just released it in BETA version. Might I say, looks very nice and for me, it loads pages much faster than FireFox. _________________ Haha SpecShip |

I also have switched to the new IE. I would have to agree with newb, but the overall program loads faster than FireFox. FF also lagged my computer out tremendously, so I switched to this, and I haven't had a problem yet. _________________ SSE Network Administrator |

Yeah, IE has a distinct advantage when it comes to resource usage and load times since it is integrated into windows. I really think FF could be a bit faster, though, its load time is pretty ridiculous. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. Yeah, I expected a bit more out of firefox when I got it the first time; Especially after all these good comments about FF. |
