Sry for making another Post.... accidentally did that... but otherwise.
I got it to be able to run with 10 Ping... but, it doesn't log into the zone map or it does not show my zone in the SS zone directory list anymore. Is there some other thing that I must do to be able to log into my zone? Another thing is how do I get my zone into the SS directory? Or do I have to contact the SS Website and have them add my zone? (I pretty much just want to be able to get into my zone... so I can start from there) Anyone's help or information will be much useful.

In continuum add a custom zone and use 127.0.0.1 as the ip of the zone and then the port needs to be the same as your server port in the misc section of the server.ini... that should allow you to be able to get into it.... as far as others they might have to do the same but substitute 127.0.0.1 with your ip address. |

If you zone is red, then something might be wrong in server.ini. Under [Billing] your IP should be set to "localhost" if you are trying to connect from the same computer that you are running the server from. wEaViL was right. For other people to get on, they need to manually imput your IP adress instead of 127.0.0.1. To get that IP, there are 2 options. 1. Press start--run--type cmd--enter--type ipconfig--copy that IP. (Thats the one that I use to get people onto my server) 2. go to www.whatismyip.com and just copy that one. (not sure if that one will work though...Depends on if you have a router or not.)
[Billing]
IP=localhost. |

To add your zone to the directory server open the file Server.ini, look under the [Directory] section at the bottom, it needs to be set like this:
IP=sscentral.subspace.inet.fi
Description=My Zone Description Text (change to whatever you want)
NamePassword=cane
Port=4991 _________________ Replacing yazour untill the whore returns.

Spec, the [Billing]NamePassword=anything...It doesn't have to be cane, that's only helpful when running multiple zones off one biller. *Someone on the forum here told me that...Can't remember who* But the [Billing]Port=4991...It doesn't connect to the directory server unless its that. I tried with a nuber of other ports, and none of them but 4991 worked. |

He's not talking about [Billing], he's talking about [Directory], as he said in his posts. And I said that. _________________ This help is informational only. A 10 ping is excellent, but you're seeing that only because you're hosting the zone locally. Others will see it differently depending on your connection speed.
Remember: Lower numbered pings are better than higher numbered ones. |
