Hello everybody.

I would like to announce the return of the the zone Devastation that I'm sure some people know have heard about it.

With the help of SOS and Altec, I have brought the zone back! Currently a map many players used to love from way back in 2000 has been put in place.

If you have not heard of Devastation before, give it a try! It is a semi-super zone flagging warzone, with the slogan pasted on by a few former players as the "ultimate base fighting warzone".
For anybody that does not like these "super" zones, this is no ordinary super zone, so please do not throw it into that bias.
I call it "semi-super" because even though some ships fire bombs and bullets at fast rates, the enery levels are very high, it still requires a lot of skill to be able to kill a player. For one, there is no prox, so you still need to aim, second, some ships are only good for close range battles, while others are designed for positioning in bases to allow for a tough defense, and third, you can die pretty quickly if you don't watch your energy levels.

In December/January of 2000/2001 this zone was frequently hitting 30-40 players an evening, which was very good at the time for a non-SCC zone, so I hope to bring it back to those levels.

For anybody that does enjoy the zone, currently we do not have staff, so if you feel like contributing to the zone's sucess please send me an email or find me in Devastation. I am looking for committed people that have a lot of time to spend in the zone.

No, not really.

You can fly there if you want to ... BUT if you have flags or a ball with you then you are gona get it

As long as you keep that stuff inside, then you can fly outside ... it'll be quite boring though .. theres lots of free space around

As well, the zone is now hittin 5-9 players on a daily basis ... our average player base for the last 24 hours is around 2.7. Which is not too bad considering the zone has been up for only 6 days, and there are NO bots in the zone.

If you haven't checked it out yet, come on in!

EDIT: now hitting 8-16 players/night and we have a main arena bot and some LVZ enhancements with more stuff coming!
