| I'm assuming it's hardcoded into the client, but I'm just curious. Is there anyway you could give spectators anti-warp as well as x-radar, or an other various assortments of options? I was just thinking that the system could read the location of the spectators view and apply anti-warp accordingly. It's not useful, but I'm just curious. |

Nope. Spectators with anti would be kinda cheap anyway. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.

| I KNOW. That's why I said it wouldn't be useful. It was purely knowledge based information. |

| server.cfg has something about spectators having xradar. but anti warp would suck.. i doubt you'd be able to give any spectator that.. |

Wow you people are stupid, she's asking if it's possible, not weather or not it's useful. She already stated that it's pointless, no reason for you to say it again. Stick to the question at hand, Is it possible to enable other options for spec'ers other than xradar.

| Gotta love the bump and run there Syrus. You just barely answered the question, but then ran away without explanation. I appreciate you yelling at these children for me. Apparently everyone skims topics anymore. |

Anyways, unless you went to ASSS, there is no setting in subgame that states that it is possible.. _________________ I know that I myself cannot do anything, that I will fall, and that I am a sinful man, but I know that I can do ANYTHING through God Almighty, whom strengthens me. |

You know, with Subspace, if you had ship #8 set to auto-start with anti-warp, you could turn antiwarp on? It didn't show on the screen, but the sounds went on/off correctly, and the packet actually was sent with you having anti on/off. But your position is rarely sent to clients while you are a spectator, though there are some cases when it is sent, and there was some cases where people in game were antiwarped from people in spectator mode.
This is why all the league zones usually don't have you auto-start with things like antiwarp, but instead just do the 'hope the 200 initial bounty covers it' method. At least, back in Subspace days, they did. |

But how would you set ship 8 to start with antiwarp without room in the settings packet?
Oh, and I'm sorry for skimming your post, Katie. My bad. |

Sorry, Shark. Meant 8 as in Subspace's numbering system, not packet/server numbering system. This is because in version 1.32, in the packet system, ship 7 was spectator. Doing a quick 'lets add another ship' modification made spectators ship 8 in packets, but the handling of spectator settings was still reading ship 7. |

Actually, those sort of things were bugs in the initial versions of SubSpace and Infantry and were soon corrected.
Funny spec mode. |
