				| I was thinking.. Can someone make a full bot or merv plugin that can do the following?
 The Following:

Has a series of music directories that the owner sets to the bot:
 ex: !setdir 1:Alternative
And when you set it the bot randomly plays a song to the entire zone.
 Another command would be like:
 !settime dir:5
Format: Directory:wait time until next random song
And if a player doesnt want to hear the song they have this command:
 !music 0
 Format: 0=off 1=off
Oh and when a song plays it sends an *arena message saying:
Now Playing: [Filename Here] Author: [Author]
Author could be n/a or unknown.
ie: Now Playing: Fire-Author: Big Head -Time: [Sound Length]

I think this would be a cool bot. Mabye it was already requested in the past, but I had a thought. Its no problem if you can't make it. I'll learn how to make bots soon.

 Thanks Alot guys

				| And this would be done how? You'd have some LVZ with all music files in it, and then...?

				| I though of a similar idea a long time ago (except that it is potentially do able).
The lvz package would contain the sound bytes of each note on the guitar (or whatever instrument you want). Then the bot would load a midi file and send sound events (ex: %12) to the arena to play the song. Continuum was not designed for something like that so I'm not sure if it would even work. But in short, all midi is is a bunch of sound events, so in theory you could implement it. Hell, you might even be able to plug in your midi device into your comp (such as a piano) and play over the game.

				| Windows Media Player doesn't.
Why can't you use a media player? If the owner of the bot like a certain music, others might now. Zone rating goes down, and zone gets no pop.

				| Wtf?
Any media player takes up too much processes (I.E Windows Media Player).

Too much lag, too much hassle.

				| This should be implemented in TW with a playlist containing only one song:
 Aqua - Barbie Girl

Well take our players back now, distort, thanks. =)

 ---------------

 Anyway, getting on topic:

Streaming audio uses bandwidth, which means potentional lag in ss, intentional or not, thats what he was refering to. Most of us have machines that are fast enough where we can run a multitude of media software without having to worry about running our processor time into the ground.
Hell, watching family guy in WMP is using < 2% according to process explorer.

				| You'll take your players back? From Hyperspace?
And yes, Cerium all that stuff uses little CPU resources but consumes bandwidth. Downloading while playing ss will make you lag, even if your computer is at 10% usage.
