Im trying to host a second zone on my pc. I followed the tuturial and made a new folder(minus the files not needed) but when i try to load the second subgame.exe it wont load.. what do i do?

well i managed to get it to the point where when i log in it says my name doesnt have permission to play. How do I fix that?

what were the "files not needed" that you removed?

did you put anything in reserved.txt that would keep your username from being allowed to play?

if you have two zones on the same biller, you need to use the same password for the same name in both zones.

If your trying to run 2 zones on the same server all you have to do is have a new folder in the parent directory of the other zone and set it up the same way you did the 1st one, just make sure the server port is different from the 1st one.... normaly it is easier to just copy the 1st zone folder and rename it then edit the server.ini so it has a different port, name, map, and zone description.

You can also install a fresh new copy of server.zip as the second zone. Also, make sure the version1 folder is there because I've had a problem like this and it involved the version1 folder being absent.

I removed these folders from the new folder, as instructed on shankys server help.

obscene.txt, points.log, reserved.txt, score.dat, scoreman.exe, squad.dat, subbill.exe, subbill.ini, user.dat


I did every thing exactly as it said. and Im still getting that error

on the subgame dos screen i see an error saying invalid login packet received

You must wait until it goes to stand-alone mode.
