like when you press esc+c you can change a setting but when you press enter to change it the last setting get's deleted so you can't see what you had before (i know if you press enter again without typing anything it goes back to the setting before). I want it so when you press enter you can backspace if you WANT to. Is it possible?

That is client side, which there have been many, many suggestions on how to update, but Priit hasn't been around in, oh say a year and a half?

Correct to a degree.

Nothing is stopping someone else from making a replacement client just like priitk did.
